The prev and next query buttons are useful. I would also not mind seeing:

1 - some sort of list select of previous queries
2 - the ability to open up multiple query window/tabs

I've added bug 2273 to add the list of previous queries to the query editor.

2 - the ability to open up multiple query window/tabs

Going beyond just queries, if we let users keep editors opened it would allow for easier navigation when changing any Wabit object. For example, if someone was updating a query and wanted to see how it affects a report as they make changes they could keep both editors opened in different tabs and switch between editors easier by changing tabs then by navigating the workspace tree. This idea has been discussed on several occasions but there appears to be no bug logged for it. I've added bug 2274 to track this issue.
