Maybe, this was posted, but there would be a nice feature, and seems so simply to implement that there is a cursor or spashscreen indicating wabit is fetching data... during query execute. This way it just looks that wabit does nothing and does not response to anything.

Hi Kresimirf,
I looked into this and there is a waiting icon on the tree object that is running. This wait icon could be much more noticable and it should appear on the actual editor panel as well but it does not at current. The reason why you probably did not notice the wait icon on the tree is it seems that there is a lot of work being done on the UI thread which causes Wabit to not respond. If that work was simplified or moved to a different thread that would make it more responsive. I've created bug 2383 to track this issue.

I finally NOTICED that, I must admit among few people no one has noticed this exists
It would be much more user friendly to show it MUCH bigger or a splash screen, user simply knows easier what happens.
