sp_jdbc_getschemas call

Hi! I expect there may be a support to sybase here.)
We developed an application that uses sybase. Now we're subjecting them to performance testing, and our DBAs have noticed the apps doing inordinate amounts of this stored procedure call. whenevery our stored procedure call is happened thru code the below stored proc also calling along with my stored proc.
sp_jdbc_getschemas.
I am very sure this is totally sybase internal stored procedure. Can anyone give me an idea about how to avoid this stored procedure call for every time.

Thanks,
Prasad.

Power*Architect 0.9.7 Released!!

Hey everyone!

We've just released Power*Architect 0.9.7! This release fixes a number
of major bugs, so everybody should upgrade as soon as possible.

Major changes include:

*Fixed a bug with handling of automatic cascading primary keys in
multi-level
identifying relationships.
*Fixed a bug which was causing the Architect to save corrupt project
files.
This bug was triggered by adding and removing a column from the
primary key.
*Further enhanced the profile manager so it is possible to run
profiles
multiple times per session.
*Made it possible to add new database connection types from within the
GUI.
*Corrected the JDBC URL template for IBM DB2. If upgrading, to obtain
this fix,
you have to remove the DB2 database type from the user preferences
dialog,
then restart the Architect.
*Corrected an error in the user guide relating to the creation of FK
relationships.
*And more!

You can download the latest release here:
http://download.sqlpower.ca/architect/current.html

Enjoy!

Jeff

Power*Architect Goes Open Source (official press release)

Power*Architect Goes Open Source
http://www.sqlpower.ca/page/architect

Toronto, Canada, July 11 - Is Open Source software the way of the future? The Data Warehousing experts at Toronto-based SQL Power Group are betting on it. On 7/7/07, SQL Power published the source code of the popular Power*Architect Data Modeling Tool on their web site. This release makes them the first-to-market with a cross-platform, Open Source data modeling tool with ETL integration.

Since 2003, SQL Power has been using the Power*Architect internally as a powerful data modeling tool, giving them the edge over their competition. So why are they giving it away for free as Open Source software?

"We believe that database productivity tools are becoming a commodity these days, with several good open source alternatives to most proprietary database tools. In support of the Open Source community and in order to provide companies with a low cost (Free) alternative to ERwin and other proprietary database design tools, SQL Power has decided to distribute the Power*Architect for free to all database designers and data modelers around the world. Also, by embracing the open source model, we are leveraging the efforts of the world-wide Java community." said Sam Selim, president of SQL Power.

Selim believes that Open Source software is the future for Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence projects, because clients can take the money they used to spend on license fees and use it towards value-adding development. Is this strategy working? The 4000-and-counting Power*Architect downloads over the first week of the Open Source release suggest that it is.

Established in 1988 and privately held, SQL Power is a leading Canadian software consulting firm specializing in Data Migration, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence.

For further information or to schedule an interview, contact:
Jonathan Fuerth
fuerth@sqlpower.ca
(416) 221-4220 ext. 252
SQL Power Group Inc.
2110-4950 Yonge St., Toronto ON M2N 6K1
