SQL Power Announces SQL Power Architect Candidate Release 1.0

SQL Power is proud to announce the general availability of SQL Power Architect Candidate Release 1.0

 

The SQL Power Architect is an innovative Java-based data modeling tool geared primarily for Data Warehouse and Data Mart designers. It allows designers to open multiple concurrent source Database connections, data profile the various source data, compare any source and target schemas, drag and drop source schemas, tables and columns into the date modeling playpen and forward engineer the resultant target database and its associated ETL template.

Candidate Release 1.0 addresses several issues found in Release 0.9.1 while providing DW Designers with additional Data Modeling features, including:

  • Support for indexes and unique constraints
  • Support for MYSQL, allowing DW Designers to compare schemas and to generate DDL for MYSQL
  • Bundling of SQL Server and PostgreSQL with this release
  • Rework and simplifying of JDBC connection interface
  • Provide ability to connect to multiple Oracle versions concurrently
  • Provide ability to save playpen to PDF
